Another Great Dinner…

pig with forkOur annual Pulled Pork dinner was held on Thursday, April 18th and was a huge success! We served just under 150 plates and received very positive feedback. Everyone loved the meal….what’s not to love – pulled pork marinated in a sweet barbeque sauce served on a bun, seasoned roasted potatoes, corn, and our famous apple cake! yum, Yum, YUM!!!!

Kudos go out to Connie Pinson and Rachel Marasco – these ladies planned and organized the dinner and did the cooking! They are amazing in the kitchen! Of course, no one pulls something like this off by themselves — members of the congregation sold tickets, put up posters, donated ingredients, and spent time helping with the prep work, working at the dinner, and cleaning up afterwards. We have the best group of people in our church – so generous and willing to pitch in and help! Even Pastor Jack put on an apron (with his name embroidered on it, no less), rolled up his sleeves, and worked in the kitchen the night of the dinner!

But that’s not all…….HUGE thanks go out to Tim Kirby for his donation of apples and Bertsch’s Good Earth Market for their donation of potatoes. The farmers in this community are always so generous to help us with our events! We are very grateful for them.
