“As a loving and caring community of faith, the purpose of the Albion First United Methodist Church, a body of Christ empowered by the Holy Spirit, is to invite others to discipleship focusing on sharing the “good news” of Jesus Christ with all people, through creative worship, Biblical teaching relevant to life, supportive fellowship, and equipping all to live lives of Christian witness and service.”
The Albion First United Methodist Church holds worship services, office hours, and meetings at the Christ Episcopal Church located at 26 South Main Street, Albion, NY. Our previous location at 19 N. Platt Street is no longer used for church business and is currently on the market for sale.
Albion FUMC has something for everyone – worship services, Sunday School classes for all ages, Bible Study, youth activities, fundraisers, dinners, and so much more! There are ample opportunities for fellowship with other members of the congregation and community – monthly men’s and ladies luncheons, monthly TUMS (The United Methodist Seniors) meetings, Prayer Shawl Group, Prayer Warriors, and more. If music is a source of peace and spirituality for you, Albion FUMC has a Chancel Choir and a Bell Choir, as well as periodic special musical offerings during Sunday Worship services, including our Youth Musical Groups – The Methodist Music Makers and the Youth Hand Bell Choir. The congregation prides itself on giving back to our community — just one example is the Last Wednesday Supper where members of the church prepare a delicious pasta dinner free and open to the community the last Wednesday of every month. Whether you’re looking for a place to worship, volunteer for community service, or just a chance to get together with friendly, caring people, Albion FUMC may be what you’re looking for.
