Hello and welcome to my blog. My name is Kim and I am a member of the Albion First United Methodist Church. I was born and raised in Albion, NY and attended Albion FUMC in my younger years. I moved to North Carolina in 1985 and when the opportunity to retire arose, I knew I wanted to return to my family, my home town, and my roots. When I returned “home” after being a southern girl for 26 years, I wanted to leave my options open regarding which church I would attend. I visited various churches representing various denominations before I realized that I felt most at home at the church I grew up in….Albion FUMC. I found the congregation welcoming, friendly, and very active – just what I was looking for! I am so happy to say I am not only home “physically” – surrounded by family, friends from my past, and familiar surroundings – but, I am also home “spiritually” and look forward to many years of faith, worship, fellowship, and new friends.
The main purpose of this blog is for me to write about my experiences and feelings regarding my participation in the church and various church related activities. Additionally, this blog is my way of getting the word out about all the wonderful things our church does for our community and members. I find great joy in writing and in my church fellowship, so this is a perfect way for me to combine the two and, hopefully, enlighten others and perhaps encourage interest in our church. If you enjoy reading the posts and want to leave a comment, please feel free to do so – I would enjoy hearing from you.
I have also written a personal blog for several years and you are welcome to visit it by clicking here! Enjoy!
